GOVERNMENT SILENT ON WHO HOLDS GRENADIAN PASSPORTS

In my research I found this, Sometime we forget and make the same mistakes. ST GEORGE‘S, Grenada: Prime Minister Dr Keith Mitchell has said that revealing who holds Grenada's passport as a result of the now defunct economic citizenship programme is not in the best interest of the country and its national security. Dr Mitchell made these comments while responding to a question posed by an opposition parliamentarian during the last sitting of the Lower House. However during the campaign leading up to last November's general elections the Prime Minister's New National Party in its column called the “NNP Perspective” in the Grenada Informer newspaper had this to say: “Accountability is a key requirement of good governance”. “Accountability cannot be enforced without transparency and the rule of law. The New National Party Administration has never shirked its responsibility to ensure that all Grenadians know about the government’s decisions and actions.” The recent statement

TO THE IMANI QUEEN

It is difficult to comprehend the humiliating situation that our youths have been put through. Last Saturday,April 27th 2013,our youths received the greatest top-down attitude from the IMANI QUEEN. Can you imagine the amount of youths that were filling out forms in open air on the streets of Grenville? It was a 'total mess'.  The IMANI QUEEN claims that she loves young people. She wants to be their champion. She always says that we should invest in them.If that is the case,Why is the youth idol only promoting herself? This NONSENSE in Grenville was only organised so that the NNP can register as much unsuspecting youths as possible into their GREEN DATABASE. It was only a deceiving show because some youths in St.George's started registering one week earlier, and in St.Patrick, one month earlier. I want the IMANI QUEEN to get it through her thick skull that she is not a HOLY GHOST. She should understand that she eats, sleeps and defecates just like all of us. The IMANI Q

CALLING ON THE ‘NEW’ NNP BIG BOYS TO SPEAK OUT!

CALLING ON THE ‘NEW’ NNP BIG BOYS TO SPEAK OUT! It has taken no time at all, for Mitchell to put pepper in the eyes of his newly-acquired puppets who stood against him hardly five years ago. Everyone knows that Peter David, Chester Humphrey and Karl Hood are now in bed with Keith Mitchell. In each case, they had declared that they had specific problems with the party to which they then belonged,  the NDC. After posturing in the Parliament for months, in the case of Karl Hood and for years in the case of Peter David, they both quit the Government that they had helped to establish. In Chester’s case, he had become sour initially over the Joe Gilbert-inspired stand-off with the Farm Roads Project, even though they do not publicly mention his role in that fiasco. How hypocritical? We date Peter David back to the debate of the first NDC budget when, without securing his Government’s authorisation, he called for the creation of a Bi-partisan Committee on Foreign Affairs. YOUTHS BE WISE.

OUR YOUTHS SHOULD NOT WORSHIP THE YOUTH MINISTER. People are really beginning to wonder why the minister of youth is being presented as an empress, goddess or "diva". It seems as if the NNP has an agenda for our unsuspecting youths to wash her feet and as we say in local terms, "kiss her backside". Our youths are constantly being bombarded by lies and false pretense.  One of the most glaring, "hoodwink plan", is to present the minister as a savior to the youths.  She is now being referred to as the "poster girl of the youth movement". The strategists within the NNP are well aware that the youths are quite vulnerable in some areas. They know that young people like things that would "glitter".  As a result, they are promoting and elevating the "sweetlady" as someone who is a flawless champion; a Virgin Mary or a Mother Theresa because they want to entrench her in an effort to NNP-IZE the state of Grenada. REPLACING TEXT BOOKS WITH TABLETS The Government of Grenada has decided to phase out the free school program on the island.  Students will  use computers in  classrooms in about two years time. This book program was implemented by the NDC when the party took up office in July,  2008.  While the intent can lead to radical and beneficial changes to our current education system, true revolution in education depends on the mind set of the masses and commitment from our leaders that is not intended to fool the public,so that political gains can be achieved. Having TABLETS in our schools is not a bad idea, but the question is; Are we as a small emerging and struggling economy ready for this type of  DELIVERY to our students? Before a government embarks on major changes in a state, the culture, customs and experiences of the people must first be taken into account.  In industrialized countries, many school have replaced text books with laptops, but in these societies, children

IS NAZIM BURKE A GENIUS ECONOMIST? Mr Nazim V Burke became Grenada's Finance Minister in July 2008, at a time when the world was experiencing the greatest Economic melt down since the Great Depression in the USA. He also took up office at a time when the previous Government made sure that they recklessly gave away or spent our scarce resources without looking into the future or putting systems in place for short fall in revenue collection. At that time our Country was "broke" and let us not forget that Grenada was BLACK-LISTED. While unemployment, Jobless claims and needs in the industrialized countries climbed, Nazim Burke ensured that our country remained stable. While Bank in Europe and North America crashed, people in Grenada still had confidence in our banking system and business in general. There were many hurdles in that the NDC Government faced: Payment of salaries to public servants, maintaining Grenada's overburdened social systems, the depe
THE ROAD TO VICTORY                                                                        Upon losing the general election in 2008,the NNP embarked on a very aggressive campaign to paint the NDC as a party that was unable to govern and deliver from day one.                                     The NNP strategists knew the financial and social mess that they had created, they visualized that governing a country that was almost bankrupt and on a 'black list'would be a challenging task.with this in mind they started off with the'Caravan of hope'. It was as if elections were just a few weeks away.                                 The former prime minister at the time did not come to the realization that he had lost the election. He gave the NDC six months to self destruct. Many Grenadians still called him the prime minister and he enjoyed this 'false status'.                                                      T
